Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Hutchinson County Criminal History, you agree to the practices stated below.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. We keep those communications within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Normal server and analytics records collect basic technical details when a page loads:

  • Page-view times and the pages visited
  • Device type and operating system
  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Referring site, when available
  • Approximate time spent on a page

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic patterns, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics providers combine those observations into usage reports. A browser can block cookies, though some functions may then work differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Diagnosing faults and improving page speed
  • Routing a search request to the selected partner
  • Measuring which resources visitors use
  • Operating and maintaining the website
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Hutchinson County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes routing information for records held by the Sheriff, local clerks, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal-history file, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies supply the search tools. Their privacy terms govern the query, retention period, and any further disclosure once information is submitted. Review the provider's policy before using its form because this policy does not control that processing.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Hutchinson County offices, Texas agencies, court systems, legal resources, or private search providers. The destination's own privacy policy applies after leaving this website. Check it before giving personal data.

Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not direct those outside tracking systems.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information can be available to:

  • Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
  • Search providers receiving a query through their tool
  • Advertising networks serving material on a page
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, it will be removed.

Your Data Rights

Rights may differ by residence and the law that applies. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs access to state and local public records, while Government Code Chapter 411 limits dissemination of criminal-history record information. Those laws regulate government records and do not make this private site their custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request access to personal data held about you
  • Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
  • Object to certain processing where the law allows
  • Request deletion when no legal duty requires retention

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A new version will appear here with an updated effective date.
